On June 11, 2011, my best friend since 6th grade married a thoughtful, unique and adventurous man. Not to get all sappy but during her wonderful day, I couldn’t help but feel nostalgic about the almost 2 decades of our friendship. I’m so happy for her and was even more excited to be a part of such a stunning day and stand next to such a beautiful couple. They wrote their own vows which expressed their passion for each other. I wanted to capture every second of their day so they could look back years to come and remember the excitement, the delight and the love on that day.
This adorable couple tied the knot in June 2011. The intimate ceremony was nestled behind an orchard of fruit trees. Jenny and Mike embraced their passion for nature with bouquets of wildflowers, grass and wood stump centerpieces and celebrated with family and friends in this outside pavilion.
The day after we got married, my hubby and I flew off to the Riviera Maya, Mexico for our week long honeymoon. My 5-year-old nephew was very curious about what a honeymoon was and why I was going on one. So he asked if I was going to the moon with my honey.
The time we spent there was breath taking and lavish as we enjoyed the bright Yucatan sun, the fading blue twilight, taking long bike rides and relaxing as a new husband and wife. It may seem like there was no one at the resort and that we had our own private photographer following us around all week.
